ALBERT PARK FACILITIES
For Seniors, Colts, Masters & Women’s Rugby
Power House is one of the oldest established First Division Clubs in Victorian Rugby Union, situated on Albert Park Lake just 4 kilometres south of the city centre of Melbourne. Our main clubrooms are on Albert Park Lake in the Power House building on Lakeside Drive, just off Queens Road, opposite the Pullman-Mercure Hotel.
From the 25/02/20 training will be at Ground 3.5 & the Synthetic Track on Thursdays as well. (Tuesdays & Thursdays from 6.30pm )
We then revert training back to Aughtie Drive, Albert Park from 18/04/19.
At Power House, we have a fully functioning gym to cater for a variety of athletic levels and requirements. Two spacious zones dedicated to improving your athletic ability, or just to tone up for the season ahead.
Strength and Conditioning Coaching
Dave Batty is our resident strength and conditioning coach. After an on-field rugby injury forced him into knee reconstruction, he swapped the field for textbooks and went on to complete a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science.
Since then, he has also become a qualified Exercise Scientist and an ASCA-accredited Professional Level Strength and Conditioning Coach, and is now close to completing his Masters in High Performance Sports.
